LMK Consulting(“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the ScholarKey family portal and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information about students, parents, and guardians (“you”) when you use our platform.

Please read this policy carefully. By accessing or using ScholarKey, you agree to the practices described here.

• Operate, maintain, and improve the ScholarKey platform and advisory services.
• Authenticate your identity and secure your account.
• Facilitate communication between students, parents, and LMK Consulting advisors.
• Send service-related emails such as account confirmations and updates.
• Comply with legal obligations and protect the rights of all parties.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or unrelated third parties.

We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers — trusted vendors (hosting, analytics, email delivery) who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.
• Advisors — your assigned LMK Consulting advisor accesses your profile to provide personalized guidance.
• Legal requirements — when required by law, court order, or to protect against fraud or security threats.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to the same privacy protections.

We retain account and profile data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide our services. Upon account deletion, we remove personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), hashed password storage, and access controls limiting who can view your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

ScholarKey is intended for use by high-school students (typically age 14 and older) and their parents or guardians. For users under 13, we require verifiable parental consent before collecting personal information. Parents may review, update, or request deletion of their child’s data by contacting us at lmk@lmkconsulting.com.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data or update your information.
• Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”).
• Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
• Receive a portable copy of your data.
